Pur$ecuted: Todd White Thinks He’s Being Persecuted Because He Loves Righteousness and Jesus

Todd White mistakes criticism of his false teaching with being persecuted for righteousness sake and loving Jesus. He did some panhandling for filming equipment in a recent video, and concluded the video with a prayer. He drags the good name of Jesus into his false teaching and greed, and ever so piously prays for those who are “persecuting” him.

Todd White’s major mentor is the money grubber Kenneth Copeland. White gives an involved defense of the prosperity gospel here.

Todd White and his followers may in fact be very sincere, but very deceived. They need to understand that the heat he gets isn’t because people despise the preaching of the gospel and righteousness. The heat is because he’s preaching a false gospel.

“Gorilla Glue” Revival Endorsed by Dr. Michael Brown?: Light the Fire Again Pensacola 2019

Dr.Michael Brown appears to endorse the idea that the greatest thing that can happen to you is for you to be “Gorilla Glued” to the floor by God for hours. In the promotional video for Light the Fire Again 2019 in Pensacola, Florida there are odd spiritual manifestations. At the end, the narrator says the greatest thing that could happen to you is for the promise of the Father to come so mightily upon you that it would take three hours for you to peel yourself off of the floor. Dr. Brown is one of the featured speakers at this self described “revival conference”.

I call it “Gorilla Glued” because that’s what comes to mind when I hear this promoted as the greatest thing that can happen to you. These demonic manifestations are being promoted as if they’re a significant part of the conference. Does Dr. Brown really think the greatest thing that can happen to you in a revival is for you to be overtaken and “Gorilla Glued” to the carpet for hours? Is that really what revival is all about? The video says we need to become acclimated to these things.

Hocus Misfocus: How False Teachers Make Errors Appear Respectable, Safe, and True

Have you ever heard a false teacher talk about how some teachings or manifestations have abuses, extremes, or crazy aspects? After telling you that said teaching or manifestation has abuses, extremes, and crazy aspects, they then pivot and attempt to tell you the correct way to teach or do said thing. If you’ve ever experienced this, you may be the victim of Hocus-Misfocus.

Hocus-Misfocus is when a false teacher tries to make an error look respectable, safe, and true. They do this by framing it as if it’s true, it’s just that some people have been abusive, extreme, or crazy with said teaching\manifestation.

They’re attempting to get you to let your guard down, by convincing you they’re not crazy, extreme, or false like all of the others.

In reality, they may actually be error\false\heretical just like the others.

You’ll hear people talk about abuses of the prosperity gospel. Here’s the thing, the entire prosperity gospel is false. There isn’t a safe, respectable, or true way to proclaim it. The entire thing is broken.

I could give other examples, but I think you get the point. Whenever you hear a teacher framing something as if it has abuses, extremes, or a crazy end, slow down and evaluate if the entire thing is true or false. Don’t become a victim of Hocus-Misfocus.

Scripture Doesn’t Say to Ignore False Teaching and Mind Your Own Business Because Doing Such Is Divisive and Sinful

There is a myth in the church that false teaching is to be left unaddressed because it’s divisive and sinful. Some people might say to just ignore something if it’s not your cup of tea, and mind your own business because you’re causing division.

The thing about myths is that they are not true. Scripture clearly says addressing false teaching is not divisive, and it’s actually important and essential.

Paul told Timothy to address false doctrines. Paul didn’t say to ignore them because addressing them would cause division. Paul didn’t say ignore it, it’s just not our cup of tea. 1 Timothy 1:3-7

As I urged you [a]upon my departure for Macedonia, [b]remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to [c]pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering[d]the administration of God which is by faith. But the goal of our [e]instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.

It’s important to address false teaching because we’re told deception will come and attempt to lead people from the truth. We’re not told to ignore such because it may not be our cup of tea, or because addressing such will cause division. We’re not told to avoid this out of fear of “touching God’s anointed”.

1 Peter 2:1-3

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Matthew 24:21-28

21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 Unless those days had been cut short, no [j]life would have been saved; but for the sake of the [k]elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the [l]Christ,’ or ‘[m]There He is,’ do not believe him. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will [n]show great [o]signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the [p]elect.25 Behold, I have told you in advance. 26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. 27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the [q]vultures will gather.

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the [c]saints. For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand [d]marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the [a]coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your [b]composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a [c]message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the [d]apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above [e]every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His [f]coming; that is, the one whose [g]coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and [h]signs and false wonders, 10 and with [i]all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God [j]will send upon them [k]a deluding influence so that they will believe [l]what is false, 12 in order that they all may be [m]judged who did not believe the truth, but [n]took pleasure in wickedness.

Studious Shawn Bolz: The Art of Doing Your Homework Before Giving a Cold Reading “Prophetic” Word

A good case can be made that Shawn Bolz’s ability to be studious and do his homework before giving a “prophetic” word, has helped in his ability to give what appears to be accurate prophetic words.

At The Send 2019 Shawn Bolz gave a prophetic word to a “random” guy in the big crowd named Dennis Melnichuk. Here is the word, and some commentary on the word from Dennis. Link if it doesn’t load below.

Looks impressive, yeah? Here’s the thing, you have to register to attend the send, meaning there is a long list of names anyone leading the event can access.

It would be very easy for someone who has the “gift” of getting words from God to scan the list for people they want to “minister” to, to then go on the Internet and mine for information. It’s interesting how much information Dennis has about himself on his own website. He also has a lot of information public on his Facebook profile.

Also this extensive testimonial video.

Shawn Bolz lacks credibility on a lot, so I’m highly doubtful God is speaking to him. It’s more believable that Bolz is really studious and did his homework. Read about Shawn Bolz’s credibility issues below.

Paul Cain’s Homosexuality, Drunkenness, Failed Restoration Recalled by Rick Joyner

Rick Joyner posted a video on Facebook where he recalled the past homosexual relationships, drunkenness, and failed restoration of Paul Cain.

(Link to video if it doesn’t show above.)
Rick Joyner claims Paul Cain fell into homosexuality, was a drunkard, and basically rebelled against the restoration process offered to him by Rick Joyner, Mike Bickle, and Jack Deere. He says Paul Cain lied about living a celibate life. Joyner does hold out hope that Paul Cain got right with God before dying.
